New DWTS cast revealed!

NEW YORK - Susan Lucci, Toni Braxton and Lance Bass will hit the floor on ABC's "Dancing With the Stars."

They are among 13 celebrities slated to compete on the new season of the top-rated dance contest, premiering Sept. 22.

The other contestants are Cloris Leachman, Kim Kardashian, Ted McGinley, Brooke Burke, NFL champ Warren Sapp and two Olympic athletes: Misty May-Treanor, who won her second gold medal for beach volleyball at this year's summer games in Beijing, and Maurice Greene, who won two gold medals in track at the 2000 games in Sydney.

Rounding out the cast are chef Rocco DiSpirito, Cody Linley of "Hannah Montana" and comedian Jeffrey Ross.

The names were announced Monday on ABC News' "Good Morning America."

Kardashian, who co-stars with her family on the E! reality series "Keeping Up With the Kardashians," checked into a New York City hospital Sunday after cutting her foot on a glass table in her hotel room.

"I will be able to dance. I went to the hospital. I'll be fine," she said in a phone call to "GMA."

• Kim Kardashian, TV personality, 27, and reigning DWTS champ Mark Ballas
• Maurice Green, Olympic gold medalist track and field star, 34, and two-time DWTS champ Cheryl Burke
• Misty May-Treanor, Olympic gold medalist beach volleyball player, 31, and Maksim Chmerkovskiy
• Susan Lucci, Emmy-award winning soap opera actress, 61, and Tony Dovolani
• Jeffrey Ross, 42, comedian, and Edyta Sliwinska
• Cody Linley, 18, actor, and two-time DWTS champ Julianne Hough
• Brooke Burke, 36, TV personality, and Derek Hough

Woohoo can't wait to see Maks again.  I think he probably was the only one tall enough to be put with Misty Mae Traenor.  It ought to be interesting to see if she moves as fast on the dance floor as on the beach.

No Suds post about Maks yet?  You're slipping, Sudsy!  Misty and Maks looked pretty good - much better than most of the others.  Biggest (literally) surprise of the night for me was Warren Sapp - how the hell does a man that large move that well.  I truly enjoyed his dance - he's like a big (really big, I wonder how much he weighs - it has to be 300 or maybe 350) old loveable teddy bear!

I'm in heaven now that I got me some Maks back woohoo!  I loved to watch him dance he is soooooo sexy, oh and I guess Misty did ok lol.  I agree about the big Teddy bear he sure can shake it for such a big guy.  I do have to say thou that they really should send Cloris home before she has a heart attack or breaks something.  A woman of her age with osteoporosis shouldn't be tempting fate. JMO  Anyway all my votes went to Maks and Misty of course, anyone surprised lol.

They better send her home (Cloris) before she gets them tossed off the air with her cussing and showing cleavage.  I have to admit though, I was LMAO at her.  She has a lot of guts to do this and she DOES dance verra well for her age.  That Jeff the comedian (who didn't seem all that funny to me) is definitely the worst (yeah, even worse than Cloris, who at least had some grace to her dancing) and he needs to GO tonight!

Susan Lucci looked more frail than Cloris.... loved Carrie Ann telling Susan she should gain a couple of pounds  

I'm sure Cloris will stick around a couple of weeks.. for the entertainment factor if nothing else... I doubt Corky (WTF kind of name is that anyway) would let her do anything risky

Has everyone forgotten this is a dancing show and not a pity show for elderly actors.  I think they are having a hard time controlling her and I agree she is totally batshit crazy and it is a last ditch attempt at getting some attention.  Rather pathetic when you think about it. JMO

Cloris is crazy like a fox as far as I'm concerned... she is entertaining and that will keep her a week or 2... it's not like she'll pull a Marie Osmond and be in it til the final 3

I know Glow he does have a nice bod and I love how he moves it, he could put his little slippers under my bed any night  lol. I laughed my ass off tonite when Corky called her the mouth. I sure as hell hope that she goes soon she is starting to bore me with her act.

I'm really surprised that they aren't falling over Julianne so far, personally I am happy about that I think she is a bit too cocky for her own good. jmo Has anyone noticed how much weight Cheryl has put on this year, looks like she must have taken the summer off work.

I thought Cheryl looked a little chunkier too, but     thought maybe it was just the costume the other night.  I didn't see last night (was out at a comedy club - it was a hoot), but now I don't think I want to watch it because the results SUCKED. Ted wasn't the best dancer, but he was nowhere near the worst. 

As for Julianne, you might as well get used to looking at her this time Suds, cause she is paired with Disney Boy, and if they get all those little Hannah Montana tweens voting, that team will be around a long time.

Yah I noticed last night... of course I wish I had her body a little heavier or not LOL

I don't think Julianne and Cody are going to last long... I don't think the pre-teen set are going to do that much voting.. right now they are there because of Julianne's popularity

I wish they had paired Ted with Edyta,  I think he'd still be there... the unkown dancer didn't help him...

I am voting for Lance.  That old lady needs to go, she's disturbing, sorry, just being honest.  I can't stand looking at her.  Kim is horrible, although she has a large fan base so she should be safe, I thought she would be a good dancer.  I can't believe the threat they showed for Toni B.  She will make it far, I have faith.
